Comfort Touch is a nurturing style of acupressure that’s applied to patients’ hands by trained
HPH Hospice Aides and volunteers.
It’s a very safe, gentle way to help a patient relax while in bed, a wheelchair or recliner.
Light lotions or oils are often used, and Comfort Touch is provided only if the patient would like to receive it.
This soothing therapy is just one more way that HPH Hospice provides compassionate care to terminally ill individuals.
